Thanks UK2 for Going Down Again

Well I’m sorry for the downtime recently. It appears that UK2 somehow managed to turn off the database and then magically get it back up again, then saying that it was never down in the first place :s Can you believe those guys. Still, it is now “magically” back up again so thats all that really matters. I used to think that UK2 were alright, but it now appears that it is full of non technical people who to be honest, cant even spell. I mean check out the email below which is what I received back from them. They cant even seem to answer John back about how he can park his domain on his space. So far it has been moved through 3 different levels of support, moved from low priority (which John put it in at) to critical by them and it still hasn’t been sorted. Its all going to pot it seems.

3 DAYS Now and still no response from UK2… :/

I guess parking a domain is toooo hard for them?
Even though the domain is on their server and I want to park it on a domain that I own and is on the same account. 3 days no response is rubbish support and I`m on 3rd line Technical support.. with them setting the ticket priority to critical from low..

I thought my Slovene Host http://simail.org/ was bad, but at least all I do is send a text and within the hour my problem is fixed.. :)

I suggest Lightning Internet, where my site is hosted. I’ts never actually been down at all since I’ve had it.

Also a former work colleague of mine owns part of it, which is why I chose it in the first place! But other friends who use it for business have also been very satisfied with the service.

UK2 are possibly the worst hosting company around in my opinion. We have various websites – and these guys are the worst by far. It takes a day to get any sort of reply – if at all. The email has now been on and off for three weeks. Want my opinion – go elsewhere if you need a reliable provider.
