Thanks for taking the time to learn a little about me.

My name is Landon Wainwright and I originally come from Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire in England. I studied for a degree at Staffordshire University and received a 1st in Computer Science in 2006. Before that I worked in the electronics industry among others.

Since finishing my degree I have worked at Jagex Ltd (who are responsible for making Runescape.com and FunOrb.com) as a software engineer, started a company with my friend John Sim and currently I am working for a company in Germany to develop a new server analytical product and helping to setup their UK company.

I have been interested in technology and computers since I was a little nipper and it was always my ambition to start my own technology company. I have started that company but it will take longer than we originally thought to get it done. The main issue is money (isn’t it always) and we have to keep doing work to keep the money coming in to pay the bills. We hope that we will have something ready as soon as can be.

The aim of this blog is to keep friends and those interested up-to-date with what’s happening, any interesting things I come across along the way and to highlight any software engineering issues that I think would be of interest. You may also find other little interesting tidbits (or rants depending on my mood ).
